I see we’ve gained some new faces around these parts!
First of all, we wanted to extend our gratitude for joining and liking us.
Secondly, we’d like to bring to your attention that we DO have music available for consumption. We have a nice situation that we’d like you to take advantage of. We will explain a little below…
We have our EP out now, recorded with love, sweat, blood and vigor all for you to listen to. If you wanted to download it, that’s perfect! You can get at http://music.robotey.es/
You’ll notice that we’re offering it at no charge, though there is an option for donating any amount at all by inputting a dollar amount (don’t worry we even take the Euro!) into the checkout. You can put zero, you can put $10000 if you’d like. Here’s the lowdown…
We’re looking to play various towns this summer. We want to come see you, put a face to the names and thank you for coming to see us and supporting us. If that feeling is mutual, we’d highly benefit from any and all donations of our music being delivered to you. Again, this is totally optional. But know that your contributions mean the world to us and mean we can go out and have more people hear us sing and make you dance.
As an aside, we do have limited runs of physical CD’s. We make these in VERY short batches and sell them at our shows. If you have one of these currently. Rip it, burn it, give to a friend if you feel that they’d love what we’re doing! Heck, put it on The Pirate Bay!
We want to put as much value to having us in your lives just as much as we thrive off of you being in ours. We do plan on posting some really interesting content in the next coming months for people to see what we’ve been up to, weird stuff like hearing the birth of one of our songs from start to finish. Probably weird pictures of Matt Servo wearing a luchador mask and a cape.
In conclusion, we thank you for all you’ve done for us this far, let’s settle in for the ride and see where it takes us!
It’s been a while!
Hey there! We’ve been sort of quiet as of late, we’ve been hard at work getting ready for the Union City show on the 2nd of March. We’re sharpening our skills and our thrills for you. Come on our if you’re in Peterborough, we’re sure you’ll have a great time!
In other news, we’ll be releasing the EP remixes on our site very, very soon. These remixes are amazing work by Foxes in Fiction and Infrared Riding Hood. We’re also going to be starting a series of articles that show how we went from absolute concept to finished product. We’re proud of the songs we put out and want to show you how we made them!
We’re also booking for the summer so if you want to see that happen, let us know when and where and we can try to be there!
See you all soon!
Union City CD Release Party @ The Red Dog
We’ll be playing with Union City on March 2nd in support of their CD release. Will be a fun night, come on out and say hi, get our EP and hear us make some blissful noise!
We may also have some other stuff for sale there too, wonder what it’ll be!?
See you there!
SHOW: Saturday March 2nd @ The Red Dog
Excited to be playing again at home! We’ll be opening for Union City at The Red Dog for their EP Release Party!
Show is $5. We’ll have CD’s there for sale…and maybe some other stuff!
Hope to see you there!
This week so far has been super crazy!
As I’m sure anyone laying eyes on this knows, we got our EP out and played a really fun and intimate show with beekeeper on Sunday. It was honestly really fun to have the people there react to us playing for the first time in over a year, since disappearing, reconstructing, rewriting and re-tooling everything to the point where it was actually where all of us were happy with it.
Kate and Ryan started this whole thing as a two-piece, having a clear goal of writing pop songs, but taking their time in discovering what roboteyes should truly sound like. The addition of Matthew brought it all together in such a short amount of time and as I’m sure you can hear, has paid itself off in dividends. In the coming while, we’ll be doing some posts that will give you a timeline of how our creative process works. It’ll be fun and interesting.
Just recently, we were played on the CBC Morning Drive this past Thursday morning without any prompting on our end to radio stations. We’re still reeling from that, wondering how it happened, but more happy that it DID happen. It was sort of neat to hear your work being broadcast over the radio.
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we’re planning, reflecting, getting over colds, and getting ourselves lined up to get back out as soon as we’re ready.
Thank you everyone for the response and support so far, we can only hope that this last week has been a positive indicator for things to come.
